My client, a leading provider of catering and hospitality services, is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable a Temporary Catering Assistant to join their team at a residential facility location in Lismore, Co. Waterford.

Position Overview:

As a Catering Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day catering operation while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service. Working as part of a busy catering team, you will assist with food preparation, food service, cleaning and ensuring all kitchen and service areas remain clean and well-presented.

This is a temporary position running from 1st September to 20th September, working approximately 3–4 days per week on a flexible Monday to Sunday schedule.

Shifts may include split shifts or full 12-hour shifts, depending on business requirements. The rate of pay is €14.15 per hour, with weekly pay.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a Catering Assistant, Food Service Assistant, Hospitality or similar role is preferred.
• Experience working in a busy catering, café, restaurant or hospitality environment is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work across a Monday to Sunday roster.
• Reliable, punctual and well presented.
• Full right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and service of food and beverages.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Replenish food counters and service areas as required.
• Assist with basic food preparation duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow HACCP and food safety procedures.
• Assist with washing up and general cleaning duties.
• Work as part of the catering team to ensure an efficient daily service.
