My client, a leading provider of technical, engineering, and facilities management services, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to join their on-site engineering team based in County Waterford on an initial 3-month rolling contract (will extend).

Position Overview:

As the Senior Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading critical electrical systems within a high-performance, GMP-regulated pharma/medical/manufacturing environment.

You will support planned preventative maintenance, respond to electrical faults, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with site standards. This position is ideal for an experienced electrician who is confident working in controlled, process-driven settings and who thrives in a technical, safety-focused environment.

This role offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and a competitive salary of €65,000 per year.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified Electrician (essential)
• Safe Pass & Manual Handling (essential)
• Working at Heights (desirable but not essential)
• 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in maintenance or installation
• Experience within pharma, medical, manufacturing, or cleanroom environments (strong advantage)
• Strong understanding of GMP, safety standards, and compliance processes
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively

Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and electrical testing
• Attend to electrical faults, breakdowns, and urgent repairs
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems across the facility
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety procedures, and all site regulations
• Complete permits, documentation, and maintenance reports accurately
• Support system improvements, upgrades, and project activities
• Collaborate with engineering, facilities, and operations teams to minimise downtime

Benefits:

• Competitive salary of €65,000 per year
• 3-month rolling contract with guaranteed extension
• Stable Monday–Friday daytime hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
• Long-term continuity on a high-profile, regulated pharma/medical site
• Work with advanced electrical systems and high-spec equipment
• Supportive engineering team and structured onboarding

If you feel like you fit the above requirements and are currently seeking an exciting new challenge, please forward your CV for immediate consideration and confidential call back to discuss the role in more detail.

Your CV will never be sent to anybody without your permission.
