My client, a leading provider of roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services, is actively seeking a skilled Recovery Operations Team Lead to join their team based in County Cork.

Position Overview:


As the Recovery Operations Team Lead, you will oversee day-to-day recovery operations, support a team of recovery drivers, and ensure a seamless, efficient service for customers. This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone with strong administrative skills, base-level mechanical knowledge, and proven experience leading small teams. You’ll ensure operational standards are met, compliance is maintained, and service excellence is delivered across all recovery activity.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, this full-time position offers a competitive salary of €51,000 per year.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Previous supervisory or team lead experience (essential)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Base mechanical knowledge; relevant qualification an advantage
• Full C or CE Licence (essential)
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Knowledge of road safety, vehicle recovery, or roadside operations beneficial
• Proficient with reporting, documentation, and basic IT systems

Responsibilities:


• Lead, support, and coordinate a team of recovery drivers
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient response times and service delivery
• Conduct compliance checks, monitor activity, and maintain accurate records
• Assist with scheduling, reporting, and administrative duties
• Use mechanical knowledge to support operational decision-making
• Act as the main point of contact for escalations and operational queries
• Ensure vehicles, equipment, and procedures adhere to safety standards
• Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing support to team members
• Work closely with management to improve performance and customer satisfaction
