My client, a leading provider of food and hospitality services, is currently seeking an experienced Chef to support a busy catering operation in Galway on a temporary basis.

Position Overview:

As Chef, you will prepare and cook meals while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. You will maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene, working alongside the catering team to deliver an efficient service.

This is a temporary position based in Galway, working Monday to Friday, with shifts of 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, offering €20 per hour.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Chef within a busy kitchen or catering environment
• Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills
• Valid Manual Handling and HACCP certificates
• Good understanding of food safety, allergen management and kitchen hygiene
• Ability to organise workloads and meet service deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and following site menus and procedures
• Availability for the stated Monday-to-Friday shifts
• Full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to site menus and requirements
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
• Ensure food is ready on time for service
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines and dietary requirements
• Manage allergens carefully and follow food safety procedures
• Complete temperature checks and required HACCP records
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and correct food storage
• Monitor portion sizes and minimise food waste
• Maintain clean, organised kitchen and preparation areas
• Work closely with the catering team during busy service periods
• Follow health and safety and site procedures
