My client, a leading provider of workplace catering and hospitality services, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Relief Chef to support their teams based in Co. Kildare.

Position Overview:

As the Senior Relief Chef, you will step in to support kitchen operations across the site, ensuring high-quality food production and smooth service during periods of staff absence or increased demand. This role consist of, preparing fresh, well-presented dishes while maintaining full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced, adaptable chef who is comfortable working independently and adjusting quickly to different kitchen environments. You will work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and offers a competitive rate of €20 per hour, free on-site parking, and a consistent daytime schedule with no evening or weekend work.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Chef, Chef de Partie, or Relief Chef
• Strong culinary skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene requirements
• Ability to adapt quickly to new sites and kitchen setups
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early daytime shifts
• Professional attitude with a commitment to high service standards

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements
• Assist with prep, cooking, plating, and service coordination
• Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and team structures
• Maintain HACCP compliance, hygiene standards, and allergen controls
• Support junior team members as needed
• Keep kitchen areas clean, organised, and compliant at all times
• Manage stock rotation and minimise waste
• Work closely with the on-site catering team to ensure smooth, efficient service
