My client, a leading provider of workplace catering and hospitality services, is actively seeking an experienced Deli Assistant to join their team based in Naas, Co. Kildare

Position Overview:

As the Deli Assistant, you will prepare fresh food, serve customers, and help run the deli to a high standard. You will work as part of a friendly team, ensuring excellent food quality, hygiene, and customer care. This role offers a starting rate of €14.50 per hour DOE, with two shift options available: 7:00am–3:30pm or 12:00pm–8:00pm.

Full in-house training is provided for all food and service procedures. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly

Requirements:

• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-moving environment
• Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team
• Must have till/cash-handling experience
• Previous deli or food-service experience is an advantage, but full training is provided
• Flexibility to work either shift: 7:00am–3:30pm or 12:00pm–8:00pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh deli items such as sandwiches, salads, hot food, and snacks
• Serve customers politely, efficiently, and professionally
• Maintain excellent presentation and portion control standards
• Follow all HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures
• Operate tills and handle payments accurately
• Restock deli counters, fridges, and supplies
• Keep all areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards
• Support general catering duties as required
