Working Hours : Typically 8:00am – 5:00pm, with the occasional 6:00am start depending on operational requirements

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Loader & Excavator Driver to join a busy site-based operation in the Carlow area. This is a full-time, on-site role operating heavy plant machinery in a fast-paced environment, supporting daily site and production activities.

The role will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to progress to a permanent position for the right candidate based on performance, reliability, and attendance. This position is ideal for a skilled operator who takes pride in safe machine operation, teamwork, and maintaining high site standards.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate front-end loaders and excavators (180° / 360°)
• Carry out loading, unloading, stockpiling, and material handling tasks
• Support general site and yard operations as required
• Complete daily plant checks and report any mechanical issues
• Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and site procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Work closely with supervisors and site personnel to ensure efficient operations
• Follow company policies, quality standards, and operational procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Loader and Excavator ticket (SOLAS / QSCS or equivalent)
• Safe Pass (essential)
• Manual Handling Certificate – an advantage
• Rigid (Category C) Driving Licence
• Driver CPCs up to date
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience operating loaders and/or excavators
• Own transport to and from site
• Full right to work in Ireland
• Good level of spoken English
• Access to reliable transport is essential due to site location and operational start times
