My client, a well-established provider of catering and facilities services, is currently looking for an experienced Catering Assistant (Relief) to join their team based in Co. Waterford

Position Overview:

As a Relief Catering Assistant, you will support the catering team with the preparation and service of food, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen and service area. This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, flexible, and comfortable supporting a busy catering operation as required.

This role offers a rate of €14.15 per hour, with a core working schedule of Monday to Friday (7AM to 3PM/8AM to 4PM), providing flexible relief cover within a professional catering environment.

Requirements:

• Min 1+ years Irish catering or food service experience (essential)
• Strong understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong English
• written & verbal
• Full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Serving food to customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times
• Cleaning and sanitising kitchen, service, and dining areas
• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods
• Following all health & safety and HACCP procedures
