My client, a well-established facilities and support services provider, is seeking an experienced Catering Assistant to join the team in Shannon, County Clare on a relief basis .

Position Overview:

As the Catering Assistant, you will support the kitchen and front-of-house team in delivering a high standard of food service. You will play an important role in ensuring food preparation and service areas are kept clean, organised, and running smoothly throughout the day. This is a relief position based in Shannon, County Clare, offering flexible working hours with core working days Monday to Friday.

The role is paid at €14.15 per hour and is ideal for someone looking for adaptable shifts that can fit around other commitments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ year catering or hospitality experience in Ireland is essential
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Barista Experience
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Full right to work in Ireland is essential
• Strong level of English (written and verbal) is required
• Valid Manual Handling & HACCP Level 2 Certificates required

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with basic food preparation and service
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and food service areas
• Washing dishes and ensuring utensils and equipment are kept clean
• Assisting with the setup and clearing of food service areas
• Following all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
