I am currently assisting my client, a well-established civil engineering and utilities contractor, in the recruitment of a Site Agent to join their Power division.

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering works on power infrastructure projects across Mayo and Roscommon.

This role requires a strong Site Agent with proven Irish civils experience, the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors, and a strong understanding of site safety, programme, quality and delivery requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily site operations on civil engineering and power infrastructure projects.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors and plant/labour resources.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications and site documentation.
• Coordinate daily activities and ensure works are completed in line with programme requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, clients and local stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and report on programme, risks, issues and resource requirements.
• Ensure RAMS, permits, toolbox talks, site records and quality documentation are maintained.
• Support commercial teams with site records, variations and progress information.
• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental and quality culture across the site.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with company procedures and Irish construction standards.

Requirements:

• Strong experience working as a Site Agent, General Foreman or senior civils supervisor in Ireland.
• Proven civil engineering site delivery experience.
• Experience on utilities, power, roads, drainage, ducting, groundworks or infrastructure projects would be highly desirable.
• Strong people management and subcontractor coordination experience.
• Good understanding of site safety, quality, programme and reporting requirements.
• Ability to read drawings and manage works against project specifications.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Valid Safe Pass.
• Must be available to work across Mayo/Roscommon project locations.
