My client, a leading organisation within the automotive and mobility sector, is now seeking an experienced Senior Service Manager to join their team in Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Position Overview:


As the Senior Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a busy Service, Maintenance and Repair department, ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency and strong commercial performance.

You will manage and develop a workshop team that includes approximately 10 Technicians, together with Service Advisors and support staff. You will be responsible for creating a hardworking and positive team environment, improving productivity and driving revenue growth across the department.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a commercially focused and solution-oriented manager who can identify operational challenges, implement improvements and ensure the department consistently meets its performance and customer-service targets.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of up to €90,000 per year, together with an annual performance bonus of up to 5% and a company vehicle. The position operates on a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

This is a permanent role working directly for my client. It is not an agency or short-term position. I am assisting my client in finding a suitable candidate to join their team directly.

Requirements:


• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience within a motor dealership service or aftersales environment
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a Service Manager, Senior Service Manager, Aftersales Manager or in a comparable senior dealership leadership position
• Proven experience managing and developing a sizeable workshop team, ideally including at least 10 Technicians
• Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate teams, manage performance and maintain a hardworking culture
• Proven ability to drive departmental revenue, profitability and commercial performance
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity, efficiency and technician utilisation
• Experience managing departmental KPIs, budgets and performance targets
• Commercially focused and able to identify opportunities for business and revenue growth
• Solution-focused approach with strong decision-making and problem-solving ability
• Excellent customer-service and relationship-management skills
• Experience resolving escalated customer and operational issues
• Good working knowledge of dealership-management systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
• Full clean driving licence

Responsibilities:


• Manage the complete day-to-day operation of the Service Department
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of approximately 10 Technicians, together with Service Advisors and support staff
• Create a positive, hardworking and performance-focused team environment
• Drive service revenue, profitability and overall departmental performance
• Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, utilisation and labour recovery
• Set and manage departmental KPIs, budgets and performance targets
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical, solution-focused improvements
• Oversee service bookings, workflow planning and resource allocation
• Ensure work is distributed effectively across the workshop
• Coach employees, manage performance and identify training or development requirements
• Ensure excellent customer-service standards are maintained throughout the department
• Resolve customer concerns and escalated issues professionally and efficiently
• Identify opportunities to improve customer retention and increase service revenue
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety and company procedures
• Drive continuous improvement across the service operation
