Total Solutions is currently hiring Chefs of all levels to support our clients, who are leading providers in the contract catering industry, as a Relief Chef

Position Overview:

As the Relief Chef, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent culinary standards across several high-volume units, providing essential support to kitchen teams.

This is a Monday to Friday-position with no evening or weekend shifts, offering an ideal work-life balance for chefs who value both career and lifestyle. Shifts will vary between 7 AM – 3 PM, 8 AM – 4 PM, and 9 AM – 5 PM, depending on the location.

The role offers a competitive hourly rate of €18 to €22, based on experience and flexibility.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chef in contract catering, hospitality, or high-volume environments
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in new kitchen settings
• Flexibility to travel to various sites across the West and Midlands
• Manual Handling and HACCP certification (desirable)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals in line with daily menus and dietary guidelines
• Maintain food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Work effectively as part of different kitchen teams, supporting where needed
• Manage own section and contribute to efficient kitchen operations
• Communicate clearly with unit managers and on-site teams
