JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading engineering firm based in the Midlands, celebrated for their innovative work in industrial, agricultural, and bespoke product engineering. Their dedication to quality and precision has secured them an excellent reputation within the industry. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual Machinist to join our client's team at their Carlow site.  

Position Overview:


The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of hands-on experience and will be adept at operating and maintaining manual machinery to produce high-quality components. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a professional to work in a state-of-the-art environment, contributing to a range of challenging and rewarding projects.

Responsibilities:


• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce precise components.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Work with various materials, including metals and composites, to create custom parts.
• Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:


• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Manual Machinist.
• Strong proficiency in operating manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to a variety of projects and materials.
