JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Audit Associate Director for our client, a leading global Top 10 accountancy firm. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in audit, at least 4 years’ experience working in the Irish market, and a strong background in managing clients in industries such as real estate, manufacturing, technology, and consumer services. You will lead and manage audit engagements, ensure compliance with regulations, and be a key figure in driving the growth of the practice. Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of private clients and companies across various non-financial services industries.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted business advisor.
• Provide proactive advice and support on key audit, accounting, and business issues.
• Oversee the full cycle of audit engagements, from planning through to completion.
• Ensure audits are executed in line with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, Irish GAAP) and industry regulations.
• Work closely with the senior leadership team to implement strategic initiatives and contribute to the growth of the audit practice.
• Review and ensure the accuracy of audit reports, identifying potential issues and providing actionable recommendations.
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members to help them reach their full potential.
• Oversee the allocation of audit team resources and manage timelines to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
• Lead technical training sessions and keep the team up to date with evolving accounting standards and audit techniques.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the firm’s presence in the Irish market.
• Assist in pitches, proposals, and presentations to potential clients.
• Network within the local and international business community to identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
• ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualification.
• Deep understanding of Irish GAAP, IFRS, and relevant auditing standards.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification audit experience in the Irish market.
• Experience managing audits for private clients and non-financial services industries (e.g., technology, real estate, manufacturing, consumer services).
• Experience with a globally recognised professional services firm or leading Irish practice.
